- BETTER CONTROL VALVES FROM EECO -

  • Do You Install Roped Hydros?

  • Do You Have Valve Problems Caused By Heat?

  • Does Your Valve Cause You More Problems In The Down Direction?

  • Do You Have A Noisier Valve?

If you have answered Yes to one of the questions then you need to read the following...

Our Experience with Elevator Control Valves  has always caused us to seek European valve suppliers for better Reliability.

Over the past two years, EECO has made major strides and improvements to their value, making them perhaps the most reliable on the market.

With this said we believe that EECO should now merit your strongest Consideration.

Please read the following write up.

WHAT MAKES EECO SUPERIOR!!

Simplicity – The design of EECO hydraulic control valves are based on simplicity and serviceability with reduced field labor in mind. Unlike those that are layered with “design work around” and a multitude of parts creating difficulty and hardship for field labor to service and adjust, therefore, often requiring complete valve removal and return for factory service; resulting in equipment down time, lost revenue and poor customer relations. With simplicity EECO valves are quickly field serviced, eliminating downtime, poor customer relations and lost revenue.

  • Ease of adjustment
  • Field serviceable means it is not necessary to return an EECO valve for repair
  • EECO Valve requires less inventory and saves money

Valve Sizing – Some other valves handle an oil flow rate range from 20 to 185 GPM with sizes to handle their flow rates. If the flow rate is greater than 185 GPM a more expensive larger valve is required. Once again EECO leads the way in technology, resulting in cost benefits to our customers, since EECO comparable size valves convert a much wider flow range (up to 220 GPM and as little as 5 GPM with special sizing).

It is important to use the proper size valve for the specific application in order to achieve optimum performance. Another technical advantage when using an EECO valve is the simplicity, in which a valve may be resized in the field, should there be an incorrect selection or change in job sire conditions. This feature is unique to EECO only.

  • A broader range of flow rates mean economic savings
  • Resizing can be done quickly in the field

Installation and Adjustment – Every EECO valve is tested at three separate stages to assure its integrity and performance quality. The final stage is testing and adjusting to an actual elevator. Consequently, only “fine-tuning” may be required in the field, a distinct EECO labor saving advantage. The performance graph of each valve is archived at EECO for future reference and may be shipped with the valve upon request.

EECO’s simplistic design brought ease and reliability of adjustment to the field. EECO valves have 10 adjustments. The 5 up adjustments are independent form the 5 down adjustment. When up or down adjustment is made in sequence the valve is set and will hold adjustment over a wide range of temperature, load and with age. Other valves have built in numerous “check balls” to try to facilitate independent adjustments. However, leaks through these check balls create frequent adjusting and performance problems.

An EECO valve can be left or right hand, with threaded or grooved ports for quick installation. A low oil switch and a pressure gauge can be installed prior to shipment, if specified.

  • 3 Stages of testing with the final stage to an actual elevator system
  • Each valve is adjusted to specific jobsite conditions, requiring only minor ‘fine tuning” in the field
  • Each valve’s performance is documented and archived

Noise Level – Controlled environment resting proves EECO valves are quieter. Higher noise in other valves is the result of a larger number of turns in the flow path, which is most noticeable in the up direction. Additionally, the EECO valve incorporates an isolation washer (bumper) in the bypass area; this dampens the transmission of noise and vibration to the valve body and ultimately to the car platform.

  • Test proves EECO valves are quieter
  • Specific designs incorporated to limit noise

Seals - All EECO valves use high temperature Viton seals to assure continued performance through a broad range of oil temperature. EECO valves reliability operate for several million cycles without problem or need of service, provided the oil is kept clean and the oil temperature does not exceed 150º F for prolonged periods of time.

There are no O- rings or seals between the EECO valve body and its flanges. Therefore, it is very easy to open the valve and access all the internal parts without risk. This clean design is unique to EECO, whereas others are fraught with many seals and ”retaining plates” that make field serviceability, labor intensive and next too impossible.

  • EECO uses only high temperature Viton seals suitable for hot running jobs
  • No O rings between the valve body and flanges, therefore easier to service
  • Millions of trouble free operating cycles

Operational Stability and Consistency of Ride Quality -  EECO temperature compensated valves consistency provides stable operation over a wide range of temperature, pressure and with age. They particularly suitable for high temperature conditions, maintaining floor-to-floor travel time and accuracy. This results in less motor run time and subsequent heat dissipation in the oil. Frequently EECO valves are selected for those high temperature conditions where others fail.

  • EECO’s unique designs compensates for variation in oil temperature
  • Consistent floor to floor travel time

UNPARALLELLED TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

The EECO customer service department is known by industry field personnel for providing the best possible product support and service. This fine reputation has caused field personnel to seek technical help for value products other than EECO’s. As company policy, the EECO customer service department, follows up with each call to find the nature of the problem, resolve it and finally help our customer in possible prevention of repeat problem. The volume of service calls seeking help oh non EECO value products clearly indicates a decided choice by the end user to seek help from that other that OEM.

In addition to out website (www.eecovalves.com) technical information and help is just a toll free phone call always from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM time. EECO has developed and provides free of charge, training tools on installation, adjustment, troubleshooting and servicing valves. EECO has developed a training video in VHS or CD format that covers all aspects of valve training, again free of charge. In addition to valve training simulators and valve cut away models, EECO also provides training classes, either at one of our two factory facilities or at a customer’s facility.

  • EECO is sought by industry field personnel for technical help on non EECO products
  • EECO company policy is to follow up on all service calls
  • A variety of training tools are available free of charge
  • Hands on training at two factory facilities
